Kanye West is officially a billionaire. He could afford any type of incredible home he wants. So fans were a little confused when they saw his new Malibu mansion, squeezed tightly between other Malibu beach houses. The small home almost resembled a parking garage from the street- but Kanye’s unassuming Malibu mansion is a lot more special than it might seem at first glance. Designed by world renowned architect Tadao Ando, the more than $57 million mansion is basically a livable art piece.
The home is made up of concrete and pillars that sink deep into the sand. Its stark lines and lack of windows in the front are made up for with lots of windows overlooking the water in the back that offer ocean views from every single room. The home is split up into three levels and includes an owner’s penthouse at the top. While there’s only a small private beach and no yard, the home does offer outdoor lounges and an entire rooftop terrace.
